Inspired by the Imperial Ru Kilns of China's Song Dynasty, this Ru Kiln Server was crafted by Xu Chun Tian (son of nationally acclaimed Taiwanese master ceramicist, Xu De Jia) and features a classic qing-colored glaze on a dark clay body.
As with all of our celadon pieces in the Song Kiln Collection, this server is covered with a web of craquelure: hairline cracks in the glaze that will darken with use. This natural patina is an especially prized characteristic of fine celadon, and adds to the pot's aesthetic appeal as every pot is different.Please note that this is a handmade item, and every server will vary slightly in glaze, shape, dimensions, and volume.
