Skillfully carved from panels of rare sandalwood in varying shades of green, yellow and olive, this is our most traditional tea tray. When used in gong fu cha tea preparation, the captivating aroma of sandalwood permeates the room.
Three characters carved into the top surface of the tray is a traditional wish of "blessing, longevity and wealth". The two characters on the facing flap of the tray translates to mean "national art" - reflecting the pride of craftsmanship that went into the piece.
Traditional geometric patterns are carved into the top and on every visible surface of the tray - an incredible amount of detail work given the difficulty of working with such a dense hardwood. All sandalwood tea trays include a plastic reservoir tray, and shipped in a padded gift box.
