Called South African red tea, or red bush tea, Rooibos (roy-bus) is the oxidized leaf of a plant native to the Cederburg Mountains in South Africa. It is grown exclusively in the Western Cape province of South Africa.
Rooibos is an all-natural, caffeine-free and antioxidant-rich elixir characterized by its smooth and sweet liquor and orange red color.

Rooibos is traditionally served with a sliced of lemon, sweetened with either honey or a bit of sugar. It's a relatively fast steeping tea, so in a large 12 ounce teapot, we recommend a steep time of around 1-2 minutes at a little below boil.
